Weekend walk on the mountain

There is a wonderful site called Meetup and its a great way of getting out and meeting new people.
There are so many groups to choose from or you can start your own.  I particularly like the groups that walk on the mountain and this morning we walked from Constantia Nek to Kirstenbosch.

It was a glorious day yesterday and I walked through the grounds of Groot Constantia, one of the Capes oldest wine farms founded by Simon van der Stel in 1685. I love the fact that the grounds are open to the public with so much to appreciate.SAMSUNG CSC SAMSUNG CSC SAMSUNG CSC SAMSUNG CSC SAMSUNG CSC SAMSUNG CSC SAMSUNG CSC

Betty’s , a lovely little spot about an hours drive outside Cape Town east.

On the one side, there is the rugged coastline and on the other, a gorgeous botanical garden.  As the hot summer days get a little shorter, and particularly now in February and March, the light is amazing !

These are some simple shots of my weekend there and can give you an idea of the wonderful area.
